Acura's attitude-heavy sporty coupe enjoys a redesign and a mini site.
Focus groups revealed that Acura was perceived as nothing more than a pricey Honda. So AD Dylan Schwartz and I pitched the idea of a branding site to our Acura clients. We explored a handful of concepts and settled on the theme of inspiration, likening history's great discoveries and minds to Acura's industry-first innovations.
I have intimate knowledge of Acura vehicles, particularly those between 2003 and 2006. In that time, I wrote for two Acura.com redesigns, yearly model refreshes, a half-dozen or more mini sites for new model designs and concept cars, and a lifetime supply of banners campaigns. I also spent quality time with the R&D team of a few models and hauled ass along Torrance Blvd. at the yearly Ride-and-Drive.
